The following positions require:
  • Work at federal government sites in the National Capital Region (DC area)
  • Secret clearance and DHS suitability (strongly preferred)
  • 3 to 10 years of directly applicable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required

Finance / Accounting

Experience with and understanding of fiscal policy, federal accounting, obligations, contracts, payments, reconciliations, planning and execution. Strong skills and experience with spreadsheets, financial systems, audits and procedure writing. Requires experience with funds control, appropriations and reconciliations of complex accounts.

Acquisition / Contracts Management

Experience with and demonstrated understanding of federal contracting, including drafting requirements documents, performing market research, reconciliations, and acquisition planning. Must have experience with contracts management cradle to grave, preparing closeouts, and demonstrated successful working relationships with contracting officers and program managers. Requires experience preparing purchase requisitions and supporting documents for federal review and approval. Experience working with inter-agency agreements with federal partners and servicing agencies.

Budget Formulation

Experience with and demonstrated understanding of the federal budgeting cycles, goals, milestone and defending budgets. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly describe budget programs and justifications. Experience supporting writing of Congressional Justifications, Exhibit 300s, Program Decision Options and Resource Allocations Plans, etc. Should be familiar with the FYHSP, CPIC and other DHS budget processes/systems.

The positions listed below will also work at federal government sites in the National Capital Region (DC area) and require:

Asset Management and Logistics Support

Requires federal experience supporting planning, logistics and data tracking of assets (such as IT equipment and other government assets). Experience ensuring items are accounted for, utilizing spreadsheets or government tracking tools, maintaining excellent records and audit readiness.

Human Capital / Security Support

Experience supporting a human resources office in a federal environment. Demonstrated experience tracking packages, writing processes and procedures, entering data, reviewing documentation and assisting the federal HR specialists in all tasks related to posting, reviewing, hiring and on-boarding new personnel to the office. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. This position may also support the Security Specialist, who handles the clearances of new personnel.

Executive Assistant

Experience supporting federal managers and executives with planning, scheduling, travel, recordkeeping, and other administrative functions. The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office tools, have excellent interpersonal and written communications skills and experience working for senior management.

Executive Secretariat Support

Experience in support of a federal Executive Secretariat office, including managing documents for approval in a timely and accurate way. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to ensure that documents, memos and letters are properly handled. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office tools. Experience working with senior management in support of the federal Executive Secretariat.

IT Support

Experience helping to set up and support IT systems, such as desktops, laptops and Blackberries. Experience moving and maintaining IT assets, including printers, copiers and phones. Experience assisting new users in set up, troubleshooting, and loading authorized software and record keeping. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills.

Communication Specialist

This specialist position requires a minimum of two to five years of experience in federal support of a Communications / Public Affairs office. Experience in preparation of press releases, assisting with speech writing, communications briefs, informational documents, memos and similar products. Excellent proofreading and editing skills, and experience taking information from technical experts and developing well-written and understandable text for non-technical audiences. Experience assisting with website content and management, including reviewing, uploading, proofing and updating DHS intranet and SharePoint environments. Excellent skills in MS Word and other MS Office Suite tools.
