John Meekhof

John, co-founder and Vice President of Capstone, has over 24 years of engineering, acquisition, financial, program and executive-level management experience earned in both commercial and federal environments. He joined IBM as a Mechanical Engineer and later progressed to leading the technical procurement of semiconductor equipment and services at Dominion Semiconductor in Manassas, VA. In 2003, John joined Booz Allen Hamilton to support the newly formed Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where he managed the acquisition team providing start-up consulting support to the IAIP and PREP Directorates. In 2006 he (with co-founder Sarah Meekhof) led Capstone in securing its first contract in support of DHS’s Pandemic Program. Upon the formation of the DHS Office of Health Affairs, John provided acquisition, finance and program management support in the areas of pandemic preparedness, medical countermeasures, training, planning, exercises, medical quality management and workforce resiliency. John holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, a BS in Physics from Central Washington University, Ellensburg, Washington, and an International Executive MBA from Georgetown University, Washington DC.
